Each year, the Land of Odds Website features an off the wall jewelry design contest called "The Ugly Necklace ugly necklace contest winnerContest."  I'm a big fan of this contest because I love quirky jewelry styles.

 

The contest deadline is March 15, 2010, so there is still time to enter, if you have an unusual design that you think would fit the bill. The contest is open to both US and International designers. As the site says There are talented Ugly-Necklace Jewelry Designers everywhere!


First prize in the contest is a $992.93 shopping spree at Land of Odds.    You can see the rules for the Ugly Necklace contest on this page of their website.  Last year's winner was  Lynn Margaret Davy from Wimborne, Dorset, United Kingdom. Her necklace featured a combination of Chinese, Japanese and Czech glass beads made into leaves, strings, and what appears to be a dreamcatcher.
